The Grassroots Historian Presents

“The Fall of Kirby Smith’s Confederacy.”

Tuesday, September 17th at 10am

The nation’s capital is in flaming ruins, the President and his cabinet are on the run to the west, and most of the army has surrendered, yet the war goes on… This was the situation for General Kirby Smith, who commanded all Confederate forces and government west of the Mississippi River in April 1865.

On September 17th at 10 am, visit Bath Township Public Library to learn more about “The Fall of Kirby Smith’s Confederacy.”

This presentation is conducted by The Grassroots Historian (Michael Mumaugh).
