Curbside Services Beginning Monday, June 8, 2020

Beginning Monday, June 8, 2020 we will be offering curbside services Monday - Thursday 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - noon. 

To reserve an item for curbside pick up  you can:  

Log in to our library catalog using your library card number and phone number (or password if you have set one), browse our collection, and place the item(s) you'd like on reserve.

or

Email your request to: info@bathtownshippubliclibrary.org, include your full name, library card number, and a phone number where we can reach you.  

or

Phone the library at 517.641.7111 during the above hours, and staff will assist you with your reserve.

To pick up your reserved item(s):

Once you've received notification that your items are available for pick up, please drive up to the front of the library during the above hours, honk your horn, and we will deliver the items to your car.

Returns

We are instituting a no-contact return of library items. Please use the dropbox. Items that cannot be returned in the dropbox - hotspots, youth backpacks, or items from our library of things, can be returned during the above hours; simply drive up and honk, staff will come out to your car and retrieve the items.

Donations

We are not accepting donations at this time.

Fines

During this pandemic, we have suspended all overdue fines. All books that are currently checked out will be due Monday, June 29, 2020. Patrons are still required to pay for or replace lost and/or damaged items, along with any fines that were accumulated on or prior to Thursday, March 12, 2020.

Patron and Staff Safety

Returned library items will be quarantined for 72 hours or more. Please be aware that items may show on your record during this period.

Staff will wear a mask during curbside services. 

We appreciate your patience as we figure out the logistics and best practices for these new services. We want to make sure we are as efficient and safe as possible.

Please keep in mind that our services will remain in compliance with Executive Orders and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and may be revised if future updates are issued.
